Wall painting diorama “Carbon Forest”, Museum am Schölerberg, Osnabrück

Client: Museum am Schölerberg | Acrylic and facade paints | approx. 8 x 20 m

For the redesign of the museum, a painted carbon forest is to be the eye-catcher as part of a diorama. The design was created in collaboration with a Berlin graphic designer and the museum’s biologists. The work was carried out on movable scaffolding. Several layers of paint were applied directly from the design to the wall without any preliminary drawing. Four theatre and commissioned painters were involved in the realisation. A work of art was created and its size is probably unique in a German museum.
